Across the pond we go for some good old UFC London, Volkov vs. Aspinall. UFC London is filled with some absurdly huge favorites, and I agree with three of them. Hate picking mainly favorites, feels like such a cop out. However, these four bets, make for a very safe parlay.
Short and sweet this week, the odds do most of the talking.
Alexander Volkov (-120) vs. Tom Aspinall (+100)
Volkov vs Aspinall is a great way to finish off UFC London. Been high on Aspinall since he entered the UFC, have advised betting on him in each one of his fights. Especially as an underdog, that train does not stop now!
Aspinal holds the tools to be a future heavyweight champion. Fast on his feet, has very clean boxing mechanics, and is well versed on the ground. The only major concern is this is the first time we have seen Aspinall in a 5 round fight. Not sure how he will look past the third round.
A risk I'm willing to take. Endless potential for Tom Aspinall.
Bet: Tom Aspinall (+100)
Gunnar Nelson (-400) vs. Takashi Sato (+300)
The world has not seen Gunnar Nelson in almost 2 and a half years. Now Gunnar is back against a last minute opponent, Takashi Sato. Not sure who in Sato's camp advised taking this fight on short notice.
Sato has struggled against fighters who have a strong ground game. Out of his 4 total UFC fights, both of his losses have come by submission. Stepping in last minute against Gunnar Nelson doesn't make any sense, 13 out of his 17 wins have come by submission.
Easy bet, love the value of him to win inside the distance too. Gunni is back!
Bet: Gunnar Nelson (-400)
Gunnar Nelson to win inside the distance (-135)
Muhammad Mokaev (-365) vs. Cody Durden (+280)
Muhammad Mokaev opened at (-180), less than two hours later his line skyrocketed to (-310). Now it's fight week and we see him sitting at a (-365) favorite. Insane, can't remember the last time someone's line changed so drastically in their UFC debut.
Needless to say, I too have bought into the hype. 21 years olds, 23-0 as an amateur, and 4-0 as a professional. Yes, take my money.
Bet: Muhammad Mokaev (-365)
Jai Herbert (+340) vs. Ilia Topuria (-450)
Illia Topuria was the 100th official win since the creation of Delinquent MMA, it would be a crime not to bet on him. Plus Topuria was originally training for Movsar Evloev, who is more of a challenge than Jai Herbert.
Herbert starts off hot, if he finds himself trading shots inside the pocket, he's going to sleep. Topuria is too powerful to stand and trade with.
Need more value on an Ilia Topuria bet, taking him by knockout is the best option. Topuria has some steam to blow after him and Paddy Pimblett got into an altercation in the hotel. Looks like Jai Herbert is going to be the victim of Topuria's rage.
Bets: Ilia Topuria (-450)
Ilia Topuria to win by KO/TKO (+200)
63.88% win rate
