UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs. Muhammad Predictions

Spot on last week with the no champion picks went 2-1. Followed by 2-1 with my champion predictions as well, not a bad week. Nunes proves time and time again why she is one of the greatest fighter of all time. Feel bad Yan vs. Sterling ended on an extremely illegal knee. It will be very interesting to see if Adesanya will stay in light heavyweight or go back down.

Well boys, onto UFC Vegas 21 and my delinquent ass will be in Florida. No shot I remember Edwards vs. Muhammad. Woke up to a flight confirmation email Thursday morning, I guess I am off. The delinquent life is a real thing boys, not just a name.

Leon Edwards (-260) vs. Belal Muhammad (+210)

All the credit in the world to Belal Muhammad for stepping in. Belal just fought on UFC 258, leg was swollen very bad at the end of the three rounds. Leon Edwards has a high fight IQ and will take advantage of the calf kicks. There is a real chance Belal Muhammad's legs is still not 100%, 258 was 30 days ago. I do not see Muhammad being able to control the pace. I think the entire fight will be controlled by Edwards. The UFC treats Leon Edwards like shit, even though he is on an 8 fight win streak. Originally stuck him against an unranked opponent too. Leon Edwards is pissed off, and he's going to be looking for some respect put on his name after Saturday. Edwards is a boring fighter but he wins.

Leon Edwards (-260)

Misha Cirkunov (-125) vs. Ryan Spann (+105)

A classic grappler vs striker match up, gonna roll with the grappler, Cirkunov. Granted Cirkunov does not have a great chin, going 2-3 in his last 5 matches. To give Cirkunov credit those knock out losses came from some hard hitters, Johnny Walker, Glover Teixeira and Volkan Oezdemir. Ryan Spann does not have their level of striking power. Now Cirkunov is not a great striker by any means, that facet of his game has too many holes. Which means Cirkunov is just going to impose his will and toss Spann around like a rag doll. Ryan Spann does not have a good takedown defense. Spann was taken down twice by Devin Clark, like come on now. Cirkunov averages 4.42 takedowns per 15 mins, and he will only need to land one for this fight to be over. Misha Cirkunov by submission.

Misha Cirkunov (-125)

Angela Hill (-360) vs. Ashley Yoder (+290)

A rematch from The Ultimate Fighter 25 Finale where Angela Hill won. Hill's last two match ups came off of tough split decisions losses to Michelle Waterson and Cláudia Gadelha. Hill has a much better fighting resume than Ashley Yoder. Angela Hill has also gotten so much better since 2017 a large factor is how much fight experience she has gotten. Hill has fought 12 times since they met in 2017, 5 more times than Yoder. Granted the odds make Hill a heavy favorite it is clear why. Not much more needs to be said, Hill is a lock.

Easy money parlay is back this week, but I think the better idea is to always take these picks straight up to fade the parlay. I wonder how much of this card I'll even remember or if I'll even see it live. Might be one of those I need to re-watch on the flight home. People may be quick to write this card off but there are some great match ups. Dan Ige vs. Gavin Tucker definitely could be fight of the night.

Well boys by the time you reading this ill be in Florida. If there isn't a post next week I probably did not make it back home.
